CHRIS & NICK JOHNSON
Brothers Chris and Nick Johnson have been working together since 2015, around their other projects, writing independently and together.
As a duo, their acoustic guitars and sibling harmonies weave together to complement their roots/folk/americana infused songwriting, which draws on their numerous diverse influences.
Beyond guitar, the soundscape is expanded with keys, tenor guitar, harmonium, mandolin, resonator, percussion and the addition of long-term collaborator Alex Davis on double bass, as appropriate, with an extended line-up in the works.
The past couple of years have seen them perform at Camper Calling festival, Tewkesbury Live festival, support shows with Seth Lakeman, Steve Knightley (twice), and The Dunwells, as well as headline/feature artist appearances at folk and roots clubs and venues around the country, including Lighthorne Folk (three times), Banbury Folk Club, Nuneaton Folk Club and Kontra Roots.
2026 club and festival bookings currently include Kontra Roots, Bishops Stortford Acoustic Club, Chesham Fringe Festival and Kenilworth Fringe Festival.
Chris & Nick Johnson are releasing new music in early 2026 via the usual channels.
